Starship | SN10 | High-Altitude Flight Test

On Wednesday, March 3, Starship serial number (SN10) successfully completed SpaceX’s third high-altitude flight test of a Starship prototype from our site in Cameron County, Texas.

Similar to the high-altitude flight tests of Starship SN8 and SN9, SN10 was powered through ascent by three Raptor engines, each shutting down in sequence prior to the vehicle reaching apogee - approximately 10 km in altitude. SN10 performed a propellant transition to the internal header tanks, which hold landing propellant, before reorienting itself for reentry and a controlled aerodynamic descent.

The Starship prototype descended under active aerodynamic control, accomplished by independent movement of two forward and two aft flaps on the vehicle. All four flaps were actuated by an onboard flight computer to control Starship’s attitude during flight and enabled a precise landing at the intended location. SN10’s Raptor engines reignited as the vehicle performed the landing flip maneuver immediately before successfully touching down on the landing pad!

As if the flight test was not exciting enough, SN10 experienced a rapid unscheduled disassembly shortly after landing. These test flights are all about improving our understanding and development of a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo on long-duration interplanetary flights, and help humanity return to the Moon, and travel to Mars and beyond.

The planet "Saturn", 25 states, 14 billion population, there are no powerful flying machines, there are wars, multilingualism. The Good News planet is 72 times the size of the earth. 12 heavens make up 117 planets or one World, and so on. I just wrote what I received from grandfather who lived in the forest. The manuscripts describe the planets, who lives there, how tall and so on, I wrote only very little. 16 Worlds make up one system - one world, 12 systems make up ACRODYTON ,,,, 12 ACRODYTONS make up Infinity, there is no beginning and end.I will sell these manuscripts, they also have a cure for earthly diseases and invisible and sent diseases. Тhe planet "SELIKIR "B" - people of brown color, brown plants emitting special voices, there is no warrior, people live 2500 earth years, there are diseases and divine doctors with divine power. Etc. ..ALEKO is the ruler of the solar system, he sends ships and aircraft with people to the earth, to observe our earth, since there is disorder on the earth and there is no truth, an aircraft with 5 people will soon appear. CAPRICORN-1006 - the formation of human souls .. Planet ZIRIY is a high planet where there are no diseases, no doctors, where the immortal world of the outside world, where there is an impulse of healing healing of divine forces - spiritual, to preserve the life of an earthly person. The planet SOKON - a high mind, 200 trillion kilometers from the earth, holy heavenly forces - from there comes a healing stream. Planet Mercury - eternal flame ,,, Hell - Tartarus under the Himalayan mountains at a depth of 14 kilometers, the underworld of the earth under Mount Everest ,. • Merkel grew up in the GDR and worked there as a physicist at the Central Institute for Physical Chemistry. In the Bundestag election on December 2, 1990, she won a Bundestag mandate for the first time. In the following seven federal elections she was directly elected in her constituency in Western Pomerania. From 1991 to 1994 Merkel was Federal Minister for Women and Youth in the Kohl IV cabinet and from 1994 to 1998 Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in the Kohl V cabinet. After the close victory of the Union parties in the early federal elections in 2005, Merkel replaced Gerhard Schröder as Federal Chancellor and initially led a grand coalition with the SPD until 2009 (Merkel I cabinet). After the federal election in 2009, she entered into a black and yellow coalition with the FDP (Merkel II cabinet), which was followed by another grand coalition in 2013, which will continue after the 2017 federal election (Merkel III and IV cabinet). On October 29, 2018, she announced that she would no longer run for the federal election in 2021. The discovery of her Polish roots in Poland attracted attention in 2013: her grandfather, the police officer Ludwig Kasner (1896-1959), as Ludwig Kazmierczak, had lived in Poznan as a member of the Polish population in the German Empire, first for the German army during the First World War and then as a member of the Polish Haller Army, possibly fought against the German army on the western front. He later moved to Berlin. Kasner had already decided to study physics at the Karl Marx University (today: "Universität Leipzig") in Leipzig during her school days, which she started in 1973. In order to supplement her income during her studies, she says she worked two evenings a week in discos as a part-time "barmaid". She did not belong to the opposing forces within the GDR, which would have prevented her academic career, but reports that during these years she met the author Reiner Kunze, whom she describes as her favorite writer. In 1977 she married the physics student Ulrich Merkel; the marriage was divorced in 1982. Merkel was neither a member of the SED nor one of the bloc parties; it was not active in the civil or ecclesiastical opposition. During her work for the Academy of Sciences, she was involved in an FDJ group. According to her own statements, Merkel worked there as a cultural advisor. Contemporary witnesses - interviewed by Merkel biographer Gerd Langguth - said she was responsible for “agitation and propaganda”. . During her physics studies in Leipzig in 1974, Angela Kasner met her first husband, the physics student Ulrich Merkel from Cossengrün, on a youth exchange with physics students in Moscow and Leningrad. On September 3, 1977, the two were married in church in Templin. In 1981 the couple separated and the childless marriage was divorced in 1982 in East Berlin. Ulrich Merkel has a son from his second marriage. In 1984 Merkel met the quantum chemist Joachim Sauer at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in Berlin-Adlershof, whom she married on December 30, 1998. The marriage is childless; Sauer brought two sons from his first marriage into the partnership. The couple moved from Luisenstrasse, within sight of the Reichstag building, to an apartment on Am Kupfergraben near Humboldt University, where they continue to live. Angela Merkel and her husband are opera lovers and regularly attend the premiere performances of the Bayreuth Wagner Festival. During the fall of 1989 in the GDR, it became apparent that new, democratic party structures would emerge in eastern Germany. Merkel initially wanted to join the SPD, but would have had to apply for membership in a local association beforehand. That didn't appeal to her; She therefore began to work for the newly founded Democratic Awakening (DA) in December 1989, initially free of charge in December and January as a provisional system administrator, and from February 1, 1990, full-time as a clerk in the personal work environment of chairman Wolfgang Schnur in East Berlin Office. Her statement is also guaranteed from this time that she does not want to have anything to do with the CDU. This was followed by the drafting of leaflets, the appointment as press spokeswoman by her discoverer Schnur and the membership in the board of the DA. The reputation of the DA was seriously damaged when it became known a few days before the Volkskammer election that Schnur had worked for the Ministry for State Security (MfS) from 1965 to 1989. Merkel chaired the press conference at which the DA board expressed its concern about it. The first free election of the People's Chamber on March 18, 1990 ended with a 0.9 percent disaster for Merkel's Democratic Awakening (DA). Thanks to the unexpected 41 percent for the alliance partner Eastern CDU, however, the joint alliance for Germany became the de facto election winner. Under the CDU top candidate Lothar de Maizière, a coalition was formed within the following weeks, consisting of the Alliance, the Social Democrats and the Liberals. On April 12, 1990, the People's Chamber members of this coalition partner elected Lothar de Maizière as the new Prime Minister of the GDR. In the de Maizières government, Rainer Eppelmann was given a ministerial post for the DA with responsibility for disarmament and defense. In accordance with the coalition arithmetic, which had to be observed when allocating further posts, Merkel became deputy government spokeswoman in the first, and at the same time last, freely elected government of the GDR. Merkel was one of three delegates sent by the DA to the unification party congress of the CDU in Hamburg on October 1 and 2, 1990. In a speech, she introduced herself there as a former “press spokeswoman for the democratic awakening” and as an employee of de Maizières. On the eve of this 38th CDU federal party convention, Merkel initiated the first personal conversation with Helmut Kohl. Merkel's accession to the CDU took place passively in the course of the merger of the DA to the CDU, in that her membership in the DA was automatically converted into a CDU party book. The election winner Helmut Kohl, who had invited her again for an interview at the Chancellery in Bonn in November 1990, surprisingly nominated her for a ministerial office in his cabinet. The old Federal Ministry for Youth, Family, Women and Health was divided into three parts - the Federal Ministry for Health (Gerda Hasselfeldt), the Federal Ministry for Family and Seniors (Hannelore Rönsch) and the Federal Ministry for Women and Youth (Angela Merkel). Merkel received a small residual ministry with little authority. Merkel also campaigned for the EU to include the reference to God and the Christian faith in its constitution. Ultimately, however, she was unable to assert herself with this demand, which also came from Poland, Ireland and Italy, among others. The Lisbon Treaty merely refers to the “cultural, religious and humanistic heritage of Europe”. Turnaround in energy policy In October 2010, the federal government extended the running times of all 17 active German nuclear power plants ("Ausstieg aus dem Ausstieg") and thus canceled the so-called nuclear consensus (2000/2002) of the red-green Schröder government. The seven German nuclear power plants that went into operation before 1980 received electricity for an additional eight years of operation, while the remaining ten were to be extended by 14 years. A few days after the start of the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, however, Merkel completely abandoned her previous nuclear and energy policy in March 2011. First, the federal government announced a three-month nuclear moratorium for the seven oldest German nuclear power plants and for the Krümmel nuclear power plant; shortly afterwards it set up two expert commissions to justify or legitimize its accelerated nuclear phase-out. On June 6, 2011, the Merkel II cabinet decided to end eight nuclear power plants and Germany's phased nuclear phase-out by 2022.

  • You could see that even 8,9,10 all were so close but like all new prototypes they have to work out the tiny errors SN15 still had that small fire they were very lucky it went out so SN16 should be faultless the way SpaceX work Also they already have permission for SN17 but it’s not built yet

    • The fire on SN15 was more or less intentional to burn off the extra methane on board.

  • This is amazing! I mean think about it there was a little fire when it landed and there would have been a some people freaking about that but I bet musk was all chill but with that little smirk on his face after making the achievement he wanted too, probably was like “hey if it lands and then slowly that fire causes it to blow up it’s still a successful landing if it stop we can find out what’s going on and stop that but even if it fell over it landed! To the people of the future who may be watching this from another planet! This may seem like it went quick the way they did it in 3 shots but the amount of time and work put Into it these people work very long hours to get us to Mars but I hope they can get us there before the asteroid hits!

  • At 67 years old I never thought I would have ever seen this in my life. Now I wish I could be around to see regular trips to the moon and mars back. How I envy the generations of the future...

    • the moon landing was back in 1969 and we still dont have frequent travels there and back, so i think it will be a lot longer then the current younger generation to get from mars to back frequently
